Foundation for Homan Square’s Privacy Policy
Foundation for Homan Square’s (FHS) privacy policy describes FHS’s current policies and practices with regard to personal data collected by FHS through its website, www.HomanSquare.org (the “Site”). This privacy policy is independent from FHS’s offline personal data collection practices for programmatic or organizational purposes. The term “personal data” refers to personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, birth date, e-mail address or mailing address, and any other information that is identified with you personally.

In the future, FHS may add new functionality and features to its website and improve or add to its existing products, services and programs. FHS only collects personal information about you when you specifically provide it – typically in connection to subscribing to our newsletter, RSVPing to our events, or applying to one of our special programs. In connection with online program applications, FHS collects your name and address, the name and address of your organization, and other information about you or your organization necessary to determine eligibility to participate in an FHS program.
Use of Personal Data Collected Through the Site
FHS uses your personal data and/or your organization’s data to answer questions or to facilitate our communications and programmatic initiatives. FHS may also use this information to help improve the content and functionality of its website, to better understand its customers and markets, and to improve its products and services. FHS may use this information to contact you in the future to tell you about FHS’s products or services that it believes will be of interest to you, for example, its annual report, updates to its online grant forms and/or an e-newsletter. FHS is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its online visitors. Except as described in the prior sentence, information that is collected from FHS’s website is not sold or shared with any individual or organization. This privacy policy forms part of FHS’s Terms of Use and, as such, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
